The Spice Enterprise
About Us
The Spice Enterprise provides Indian cuisine on a different level to most rivals. There is care and attention in every area of the menu, whether it is starter, side dish, or main course, while the wine list includes organic and Fairtrade bottles and is deliberately chosen to partner the food.

For too many people, eating a curry is the equivalent of a fast-food takeaway. Curried food is something often eaten late at night, after the pub, or squeezed in before last orders and comes in red, bright red, or orange sauces.

While The Spice Enterprise menu includes traditional dishes such as Rogan Josh and Dupiaza, there is also a selection of 'House Speciasls' to surprise even the most jaded palate.

The 'chilli mustard pineapple' is a simple yet stunning side dish. Also chilli lime infused grilled king prawns as starter or Calcutta chilli chicken an Chinese settlers influenced spicy chicken and noodle cocotion or Caribbean river lime curried duck served with spiced plantain influenced by Indian plantation workers in Trinidad. Or subtly flavoured sea bass or salmon moolee.

Urvesh said: “The influence of India cooking is vast and we want to reflect this in our menu. Our dishes are chosen from recipes from different regions of India and some are inspired by Indian settlers from places such as Malaysia, Bali, South Africa and Goa
“The ever-popular Chicken Tikka Masala is on our menu as it was created by British settling Indians, however if you want to try something different the Malaysian inspired Fish Moolee which is a fish curry with mustard seeds and coconut cream has proved to be a real favourite among our regulars.

Families are especially welcome at the restaurant and one of the dishes 'conch pasta and prawn jalfrezi' was inspired by Their Pasta loving Kids.
Urvesh added: "One of the best things a family can do is to enjoy a meal together and children should be encouraged and welcomed to eat in restaurants. our two youngsters love pasta, like all kids, so it was only natural that we should include something specially for them on the menu - but not just for children!"
